We’re still under construction, but I would like to officially welcome you to our new website, and give you an idea of what we’re all about.
I’m a lover of 9-hole courses, and seek them out when I travel. Most are old architecture, which I love. Many have a second set of tees so you’ll see a hole from a different angle on the “back 9”. And, of course, most have a unique character (and cast of characters) you don’t find at the typical 18 holer. Case in point: Plymouth Country Club in North Carolina (see post below) where you can’t whistle past the graveyard if you push your tee shot in a couple of spots… or Highland Links, near the tip of Cape Cod, where the views from 130 feet above the ocean are spectacular.
This site will celebrate all of that and more with blog posts and podcasts about the courses and the people. I also intend to compile a database of 9 holers state by state, for easy reference so you can visit a few in your travels.
Sounds like a plan. Please check back soon to see how we’re doing!
